AMES, Iowa – Junior Rachel Sudbury (Tomahawk, Wis./Tomahawk) turned in the top mile time at Bradley since 2011 to highlight action for the Bradley men’s and women’s track & field teams at the Iowa State Classic, while freshman Abby Jockisch (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) highlighted competition for the Braves at Purdue’s Fred Wilt Invitational by winning the women’s mile Saturday.
At the Iowa State Classic, Sudbury ran the top mile time by a Brave since Mary Goldkamp set the school record of 4:43.70 in 2011 with a career-best effort of 4:51.74. Sudbury, who was eighth in her heat and 20th overall, took three seconds off her career-best time and turned in the third best time in school history.
