CARBONDALE, Ill. – Bradley managed just three hits off Southern Illinois starter Briana Jones, with sophomore Stacia Seeton going 2-for-3 with a seventh-inning solo homer to highlight the day for the Braves as the Salukis took the rubber match of the three-game series 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Charlotte West Stadium.
After the teams combined for 30 total runs and 49 hits in yesterday's doubleheader, runs were at a premium in the series finale Sunday. Junior Emma Jackson turned in a solid effort for Bradley (28-20 overall, 15-10 MVC) in the circle, holding Southern Illinois (33-12 overall, 17-6 MVC) to its lowest run total in almost a month.
