LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Freshman Allison Apke hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth for her first career hit, but DePaul roughed up Bradley pitching for 12 hits and topped the Braves 11-2 Sunday morning to conclude play at the Troy Cox Classic.
Dylan Christensen walked to open the game for DePaul and the Blue Demons had an early 1-0 lead after she came around to score on a Megan Leyva triple.
Senior Kelly Kapp led off the Bradley half of the first with a single and stole second for her 12th steal in just 10 games.
