VALPARAISO, Ind. — The Bradley Braves put up a strong fight but came up short against the Valparaiso Beacons in a tight Missouri Valley Conference, falling 59-52.

Bradley hung tough in the first quarter, but Valparaiso managed to pull ahead, taking a 17-9 lead. The Braves' defense clamped down in the second quarter, holding the Beacons to just eight points, but offensive struggles left Bradley trailing 25-17 at halftime.
