Braves Drop Pair At Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After dropping the opener at Tennessee Tech 5-0, Bradley rallied from a 4-1 deficit to force extra innings in the nightcap before falling to the Golden Eagles 5-4 in nine innings in the day’s second game.

Bradley left seven runners on base in the opener and Tennessee Tech starter Danielle Liberatore struck out 13 as the Golden Eagles took the first game 5-0. Tennessee Tech got two runs in the bottom of the first on a two-out, bases loaded single by Callen Griffin.

The Braves got back-to-back hits to open the top of the fourth, but Liberatore fanned the next three batters she faced to get out of the jam and Tennessee Tech plated another run in bottom half of the inning on a squeeze play to take a 3-0 lead.
