PEORIA — As season openers go, this one was pretty typical — a lot to like and a lot to dislike.
Bradley took care of business Wednesday at Carver Arena in dispatching a Division II team like it should, building a 27-point lead en route to a 74-58 win over Wisconsin-Parkside.
After the first five minutes, the Braves were up 12-0 and some fans grew tired of standing at the game’s beginning in support of the defense. This was too easy.
But wait. The visitors began raining 3s, the home team’s turnovers mounted and 10 minutes later, Parkside had pulled to within 28-26.
