NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bradley Softball jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Belmont used a four-run fifth inning to top the Braves 5-2 Sunday night to close out action at the Bruin Classic.
A Belmont (9-7 overall) error in the third led to Bradley's first run of the contest. Olivia Bradley reached on an error to open the inning and stole second. She eventually scored when senior Camryn Monteer ripped a triple to left center.
The Braves (12-11 overall) added another run in the fourth. Freshman Katie Pederson had a one-out triple and scored on a Keeler van Breusegen single to push the Bradley advantage to 2-0.
