SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - During the postgame handshake line Saturday at JQH Arena, Missouri State senior point guard Dequon Miller took BU freshman point guard Darrell Brown aside for a brief chat.
"I just told him to stay aggressive at all times, that he needs to take more shots," Miller said. "I really like his game. He's real smart for a freshman and plays like a senior. He does change cuts, he comes off screens well. Not a typical freshman. He can really play."
Considering Miller had just led his team to a 76-62 win with 24 points, including some big second-half buckets as Bradley was mounting a strong comeback, the comments had to be a confidence booster for Brown.
