After leading the Bradley men’s basketball team to a pair of conference victories last week, senior guard Darrell Brown was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
In wins against Evansville and Southern Illinois, Brown averaged 18.5 points — shooting 48% from the field and 4-of-10 on 3-pointers. This marks the third Player of the Week honor of his BU career.
Brown scored 16 points in a 72-52 victory at Evansville, helping the Braves to their largest Valley road win in 10 seasons. His team-best 21 points against Southern Illinois on Saturday boosted BU to back-to-back MVC wins by at least 15 points, a first since 2007.
