For the second time this season, sophomore forward Elijah Childs has been awarded the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week after averaging a double-double in two games.
Childs averaged 18.5 points and 11.0 rebounds against Drake and Evansville, shooting 57 percent from the field and collecting three blocks. He scored a career-best 24 points on 11-for-16 shooting vs. the Bulldogs on Tuesday before adding his sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 boards against the Purple Aces.
