NORMAL — Despite a poor-shooting performance that kept them trailing much of the game, Bradley kept its hopes alive for earning a No. 2 seed in next week's Missouri Valley Conference tournament with a 74-71 overtime victory Wednesday over Illinois State at Redbird Arena.
A half-full arena (5,541) watched the turnover-prone home team (19 miscues) battle it out with a BU team that had trouble buying a shot much of the evening (35% shooting).
The ultimate game-winning points came by Ja'Shon Henry on a post move and later a pair of free throws with 17 seconds left.
