PEORIA — As Yogi Berra once said, there’s nothing like a home opener, especially if it’s at home.
If that comment means the home team plays well and the crowd gets into it, then the show the Bradley Braves put on Saturday night fit that Yogiism to a T.
Bradley cruised to a 90-56 victory over IUPUI, racing to a 16-0 lead in the first seven minutes and only briefly seeing its lead fall into single digits. A 13-0 run late in the first half, capped by Danya Kingsby’s 3-pointer, pushed the advantage to 43-18.
It was all over but the shouting.
