TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — It is a life maxim that the harder you work at overcoming something, the more rewarding is the eventual success.
That axiom fit Bradley to a ‘T’ Sunday as trouble kept finding the Braves, but supreme effort and Nate Kennell’s 3-point shooting kept bailing them out in an 81-73 win over Indiana State.
It marked the Braves’ first road win this season in the Missouri Valley Conference and also their first victory at the Hulman Center in nine years. And ... drum roll please ... it leaves Bradley in a tie for second place in the Valley for the first time in, it seems, forever.
