PEORIA – Loyola will not run away and hide from the rest of the Missouri Valley Conference again this year. Bradley made sure of that Wednesday night.
The Braves handed the first-place Ramblers a 61-54 defeat at Carver Arena, shrinking Loyola’s lead at 9-4 to a single game over Drake and Missouri State, two games over Illinois State and just three games over four teams tied for fifth at 6-7, among them Bradley.
Last year, Loyola won the league by four games en route to a berth in the NCAA Final Four.
“It’s a big win,” said BU forward Luuk van Bree.
