PEORIA -- Bradley received its first commitment for the 2018-19 season Tuesday when 6-foot-4 guard Armon Brummett of Decatur MacArthur High School gave a verbal pledge to the Braves.
Brummett is also a standout football player at wide receiver and defensive back and held offers from six schools, including Northern Illinois, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Eastern Illinois, South Dakota and Indiana State.
Brummett’s twin brother, Amir, committed to Northern Illinois football last May.
If Brummett signs officially in April, BU would have one scholarship remaining to give.
Seven-foot Cameroon native Aristide Boya, playing at a prep school in Pennsylvania, also has verbally committed to the Braves.
