PEORIA -- Bradley dropped to 0-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference for the first time in seven years Wednesday, losing to Drake 69-52 before an announced crowd of 4,654 at Carver Arena.
The Braves (8-10, 0-5) were frigid from the field in the first half, making just five of 33 shots (15 percent). After sinking three of their first five attempts for a 7-2 lead, BU proceeded to miss 20 in a row as Drake capitalized with a 20-2 blitz. By halftime, Drake (13-5, 2-3) led 33-15.
The visitors’ advantage grew to 25 in the second half before Bradley finally warmed up from the field.
