CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — A.J. Green scored a career-high 35 points Saturday night to lead Northern Iowa to a 69-64 Missouri Valley Conference victory over Bradley at the McLeod Center.
The game saw the surprise return to the court of Bradley forward Elijah Childs, who had missed the previous three games with a broken finger in his right hand. Childs started, played 27 minutes, scored 11 points and snagged six rebounds.
Bradley (10-5, 1-1) took a 23-11 lead in the first 11 minutes as UNI made just four of its first 18 shots.
