PEORIA — Bradley’s men’s exhibition basketball game Thursday night at Renaissance Coliseum raised $6,105 from fan donations, according to The Salvation Army.

The money raised will assist The Salvation Army in its efforts to help those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

“We are so grateful to Bradley University for this opportunity,” said Rich Draeger, Tri-County Development Director for The Salvation Army.

Bradley defeated NCAA Division II Lewis 71-58 before a crowd estimated at 1,300.

The Salvation Army currently has two local men offering aid in Puerto Rico, and across the Heartland Division, which is headquartered in Peoria, over 40 people have assisted in disaster relief to date.
