ST. LOUIS — After eight long years, Bradley basketball has become relevant again.
And all it took were three improbable recoveries on Friday: The quick and wildly successful return of Darrell Brown from a fresh injury; a 12-point BU run to start the second half and erase an eight-point halftime deficit; and a rebound basket by Donte Thomas with 1.5 second left in the game.
It all led to a 63-61 victory over Drake and a date in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament semifinals, a first for a Bradley team since 2010.
“We don’t think about the past,” said Thomas.
