PEORIA, IL – The Bradley baseball team swept a Missouri Valley Conference doubleheader against Southern Illinois on Saturday afternoon at Dozer Park, earning a 2-1 victory in the opener before a walk-off 3-2 win in the finale. The Braves improve to 11-14 on the year and 5-5 in Valley action, while the Salukis drop to 25-8 overall and 5-6 versus league foes.
The Braves pitching staff won the day, keeping one of the nation's top-scoring offenses in check during the sweep. Southern Illinois entered the weekend ranked first in Division I in runs scored – averaging 9.
