NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State soccer (1-3-1, 0-0-0 MVC) fell Thursday night 4-0 to Big Ten foe Northwestern (4-2-1, 0-0-0 Big Ten) at Adelaide Street Field.
The Redbirds struggled to generate chances to counter the Northwestern attack, which struck in the 14th, 36th, 63rd and 77th minutes. Illinois State fell behind 1-0 early and wasn't able to recover. The Wildcats out-shot Illinois State 13-5.
Junior Abby Hall generated a pair of shots to lead Illinois State, including one on frame in the 70th minute. Sophomore Aniya Seymore also put a shot on goal in the 78th minute.
