ST. LOUIS — The Illinois State basketball team's time at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament came to a crashing and puzzling halt Friday afternoon at the Enterprise Center.
A Redbirds squad that had held two straight opponents under 55 points was riddled for 41 in the first half by Belmont, and the Bruins completed a 76-63 victory.
"Tough day," ISU coach Ryan Pedon said. "Give credit to Belmont. They played very well, and it wasn't necessarily our best day. That's an understatement."
