Baseball Walks Away with Series Split

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Completing its first 4-game series since 2004, Bradley Baseball drew a program, single-game record 17 walks and the Braves (8-11, 2-2 MVC) scored four runs on wild pitches on the way to a 10-7 victory against host Missouri State (10-10, 2-2) Saturday afternoon at Hammons Field to earn the Missouri Valley Conference series split.

Each of Bradley's nine starting hitters either drew at least one walk or was hit by a pitch as the Braves broke the single-game school record for free passes, previously set with 16 walks issued in a home game against Illinois Wesleyan May 2, 1939.
