PEORIA, IL - The summer collegiate baseball scene has completely fired up around the country and thirteen members of the Bradley Baseball program have extended their seasons in several wood-bat leagues.
Rising senior Derek Bangert has reached base safely in 17 consecutive games for the Northwoods League Kenosha Kingfish and, highlighted by a 4-RBI game Saturday in a 9-6 win at Kenosha, he has driven in more than twice as many runs as any other Kenosha player. Bangert begins the week fourth in the Northwoods League with 19 RBI's.
Playing for the Paducah Chiefs in the Ohio Valley League, rising junior infielder Christian Dominguez has drawn a league-high 15 walks in his first 11 games and he is tied for fourth in the league with 14 runs scored.
