MURFREESBORO, TN – A pair of Middle Tennessee pitchers flirted with history, holding Bradley without a hit for 26 outs, en route to a 5-0 victory to complete the opening day of the multi-venue SAF Dirt Classic Thursday evening at Reese Smith Jr. Field.
Bradley catcher Keaton Rice broke up the no-hitter with a 2-outs, 2-strikes bloop double off Blue Raiders reliever Adam Link. Middle Tennessee Starter Zach Keenan (W, 1-1) pitched the first six innings, overcoming four hit batters and a walk by striking out seven. Adam Link relieved to start the seventh and struck out six of eight batters before surrendering Rice's double.
