On a night when Darrell Brown was primed to enter the Bradley record book, he almost didn’t play.
The BU junior point guard entered Tuesday’s game at Little Rock needing 16 points to become the 47th Brave to score 1,000 career points.
But the shooting wrist he injured in the second half of Saturday’s loss to New Mexico, causing him to badly miss free throws down the stretch of that game, swelled up on him. Brown didn’t practice Monday.
“We didn’t know if he would play,” said BU coach Brian Wardle via phone after the Braves’ 68-62 victory over UALR.
