PEORIA — There was a strong resemblance between Bradley’s 75-63 Missouri Valley Conference victory over Illinois State at Carver Arena and the man BU inducted into its Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
This was the type of formula Jim Molinari used to great success during his 11 years as Bradley’s head coach — guard well, rebound, dominate the paint and defend the home court.
The Braves did all of that — limiting ISU (6-13, 1-6) to 38% shooting, winning the board battle 39-32 and owning a 42-12 bulge in paint points — in defeating Illinois State for the fourth straight time and winning at home for the 15th time in the last 16 outings.
