CLARKSVILLE, TN - Paul Solka and Evan Gruener both hit 2-run home runs in the seventh inning, but Austin Peay started fast and held off Bradley's late rally for an 8-4 baseball win Saturday afternoon at Raymond C. Hand Park.
The host Governors have used two strong outings from the starting pitchers to take the first two games in the season-opening series. Bradley will try to salvage the final game when the teams meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at Raymond C. Hand Park. Senior left-hander is expected to start on the mound for the Braves Sunday.
