VALPARAISO, Ind. — Even when he was in a shooting slump, Antonio Reeves kept receiving constant encouragement from his Illinois State teammates.
"They just would be telling me to be ready to shoot at all times," said Reeves.
The freshman guard broke out of a 7-of-28 funk in his five previous games by hitting 4 of 8 from the field and scoring 12 points as the Redbirds snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 77-66 win over Evansville on Wednesday.
Now the Redbirds have to be ready for an opponent that has no fear of firing away from anywhere on the court.
