PEORIA – Talk about your dominant homestands.
Bradley’s 81-51 thrashing of Georgia Southern on Sunday at Carver Arena was the third consecutive blowout of 30 or more points attained by the Braves in the past eight days (also, North Carolina A&T 83-52 and Maryville 91-58).
Such a streak of lopsided wins hasn’t happened for a BU team since the 1958-59 NIT runners-up began the season by thumping New Mexico State 86-54, Western Ontario 93-51 and Louisville 78-48, all at Robertson Field House.
Of the three games this week, Sunday’s was the most impressive by far. Georgia Southern, picked for third in the Sun Belt, has a strong nucleus back from a 21-win 2018-19 season that included a win over Bradley.
