All’s well that ends in first kaboom for 3-0 Braves

PEORIA – Bradley’s best game of the year came Wednesday. Good thing because the Braves’ toughest opponent of the year was on the court.

The Braves held off a determined Jacksonville State team 74-65 before 4,706 at Carver Arena to start a season 3-0 for the first time under coach Brian Wardle.

“Most definitely our best game,” said forward Elijah Childs. “We played good team defense and did a pretty good job overall.”

Better than the defense, though, was the offense. BU shot a season-best 55 percent from the field and exhibited a fluidity of movement for much of the game that got everybody involved.
