PEORIA, Ill. -- For the first time in three years Bradley Softball has a First-Team Academic All-District V honoree with senior Allison Apke (Teutopolis, Ill./ Teutopolis) earning the distinction according to an announcement by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday.
Apke is the first Academic All-District selection from Bradley Softball since former teammate Maria Schroeder in 2017 and one of five individuals from the Missouri Valley Conference honored in 2020. Apke's selection coupled with Thursday's announcement that Bradley Baseball seniors Brendan Dougherty and Luke Shadid each earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors give Bradley Athletics five honorees in 2019-20 (most since 2015-16 when Bradley boasted six).
