PEORIA, Ill. – Senior runner Alec Hartman (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after breaking the school record in the 800 meters last week.
Hartman topped his own school mark in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 1:48.74 at the Joe Walker Invitational hosted by Ole Miss this past weekend to beat his previous school record of 1:49.10. Hartman's time is tied for the 12th-best mark in Missouri Valley Conference history and is the second-best time by a conference runner in the last 12 years.
