NORMAL — Illinois State's basketball team has finally struck on the recruiting trail this spring.

Redbird head coach Dan Muller announced Wednesday that 6-foot-7 wing forward Harouna Sissoko, a Mali native who attends Grand View Christian High School in Des Moines, Iowa, has signed a national letter of intent with ISU.

Sissoko averaged 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this past season in helping Grand View Christian to a 26-1 record while capturing its third straight Class 1A Iowa State championship. He shot 56.6 percent from the field, 39.
