IOWA CITY, Iowa – Bradley held #24 Iowa to a season-low 60 points and limited the Hawkeyes to 36 percent shooting, but the Braves couldn’t muster enough offense in a 60-53 setback Saturday afternoon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Sophomore Anneke Schlueter (Ulm, Germany/Max-Weber-Schule) scored 12 of her team-best 13 points in the final 8:40 of the contest to help Bradley nearly erase what was an 18-point deficit.
Bradley (4-5 overall) trailed 29-21 at the half and Iowa (9-2 overall) opened the third quarter with a 9-2 run to push the lead to 38-23. The Braves made just two field goals during a span of over 11 minutes which stretched from the final 3:20 of the second quarter and carried over to the final minute of the third.
