PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Matt Bollant had a message for his Illinois women’s basketball team Wednesday night.
“I just said, ‘We had a really tough stretch here scheduling-wise, and we’ve got a big game on Sunday at home,’” he recalled. “I hope they play really well and get it done.”
The next 10 days offer hope for the Illini, who play Wisconsin, Indiana and Penn State their next three games. Those teams are near the bottom of the Big Ten standings.
“We look forward to an opportunity here,” Bollant said. “We’ve just got to find a way to put a win up on Sunday.
