CHAMPAIGN — One spot on Tim Beckman’s staff just got filled. Now, another is open.
Former Illinois quarterback Juice Williams is leaving as the program’s director of alumni and former player relations.
Sports information director Kent Brown said Williams will join the athletic development staff at Georgetown.
Williams’ wife Jamillah has accepted a position at Georgetown law school.
The couple got married in December.
Williams, 27, took the Illinois job in late March 2014.
His move comes just days after Ryan Cubit was hired as quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator, which filled the final spot on the coaching staff.
