The numbers don't play in Illinois' favor. Purdue ranks 19th in the country in total offense — behind only Ohio State and Penn State in the Big Ten — at 490 yards per game. Facing an Illinois defense that has allowed 483.4 yards per game to rank 114th nationally would seem to give the Boilermakers the advantage. The Illini have the more dynamic run game behind Reggie Corbin, Mike Epstein and AJ Bush Jr., but Purdue holds the distinct edge in the passing game (David Blough to Rondale Moore should concern every team).
