In his second season as Illinois offensive coordinator, Garrick McGee is confident better numbers — and more wins — are on the way this fall.
His optimism stems from the presence of quarterback Chayce Crouch, who showed potential before a season-ending right shoulder injury last October.
"If you started asking our players about Chayce, the first thing they're going to say is he's a leader," McGee tells Loren Tate in this week's 21-minute podcast — Tatelines: Unedited. "This leadership quality he has, has nothing to do with production on the field. It's just natural, it's inside him.
