In their opening drive of the second half, the Illini were able to capitalize on costly Penn State penalties — and they did it in style. Wide receiver Trenard Davis took the pitch from quarterback MJ Rivers and delivered a perfect pass to fellow wide out Ricky Smalling for the go-ahead touchdown, 24-21.
