The Illinois football staff has another opening.
Inside linebackers coach Mike Ward is leaving, a source close to the program told The News-Gazette today.
Ward becomes the second coach this week to relocate, following special teams coordinator Alex Golesh, who left for Iowa State.
The 53-year-old Ward spent four years on the Illinois staff. Prior to that, he worked three seasons with Tim Beckman at Toledo.
