In their final regular-season home game on Saturday, it took just three sets – 25-23, 25-16, and 25-20 – for the Orange and Blue to claim a victory over the Hoosiers. With the win, the Illini improved to 19-10 and 10-8 on the season, with just two BigTen conference games remaining.
“They’re incredible people,” said head coach Kevin Hambly, of his seniors. “It’s been a pleasure to coach these guys, it’s been a lot of fun to be around them and see them grow.”
All six seniors started the match, and helped the Illini rebound from an early 8-4 deficit, to take a 14-12 lead.
