Thomas said he doesn't think unions are the way to go when it comes to college athletics.
"A lot of time and resources are invested in them," Thomas said. "I don't see student-athletes as employees, and I certainly don't think unionizing is the right approach."

Thomas said there are no plans to release any sort of public report after any type of review Illinois conducts on the matter.
