URBANA — Louise Kwong and Ines Vias teamed up for a victory, then each earned a solo win Friday in leading Illinois women’s tennis to a 5-2 triumph against visiting Indiana at Atkins Tennis Center. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Illini (11-6, 5-1 Big Ten).
Kwong and Vias defeated Kim Schmider and Stephanie Smith 6-2 in doubles, and the UI pairing of Jerricka Boone and Madie Baillon secured the doubles point for the Illini.
Kwong then won at No. 1 singles, while Vias took the No. 2 victory. Jaclyn Switkes and Jade Hilton were also singles winners for Illinois.
