CHAMPAIGN — Illinois dropped six spots to No. 13 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll released Monday.
The Illini (11-4) are coming off losses to now No. 16 Wisconsin and No. 11 Minnesota and will return home after five weeks on the road Friday with a 7 p.m. match against No. 3 Penn State. The Nittany Lions fell from the top spot in the poll after a loss to Nebraska.
Despite topping Penn State, the Cornhuskers remained at No. 4 in the poll after losing their next match to Ohio State. The Buckeyes made the biggest leap of Big Ten teams, moving from 13th to ninth.
