CHAMPAIGN — The Illinois men's track and field team compiled 207 points, easily ouptacing the nine-team field on Saturday at the Armory on the UI campus to win the Illini Open title in the Illini's first indoor meet of the season.
Illinois placed first in nine events — David Kendziera in the 60-meter hurdles, Devin Quinn in the 60-meter dash, Joe Haight in the 200, Aaron Harris in the 400, Denis O'Callaghan in the 800, Garrett Lee in the 3,000, Parker Deloye in the high jump and Cooper Jazo in the pole vault and the 1,600 relay team — to finish well ahead of runner-up Southern Illinois (1191 / 2).
