OTTAWA, Ill. — Former Illinois left fielder Ryan Nagle agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 10, according to The Times of Ottawa. The deal is pending a physical.
Nagle, who was selected in the 27th round of the MLB First-Year Player Draft, signed for $160,000 — $60,000 over slot.
Nagle hit .339 with a team-high 19 doubles for the Illini this past season and had been playing for the Waterloo (Iowa) Bucks in the Northwoods League this summer.
