UI basketball notes: 'We just have to be us'

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Illinois didn't let its 0-5 start to Big Ten play break its confidence. That was never more evidenced than its 95-68 blowout win against Minnesota on Wednesday ngiht. Sunday's 95-71 loss at No. 23 Iowa doesn't appear damaging to their confidence, either.

"We're good," freshman guard Ayo Dosunmu said. "We're a tight-knit family. I told the guys, 'Let's come back (Monday) for practice and just work hard and try to be better.' No need to hold our heads down because (four) days ago we got a great win."Other young teams might have broken by now.
