Maybe you've heard about Chris Karr. More likely, you've heard Chris Karr (listen here).
He's the high-pitched hog caller from Seymour who just picked up his 10th championship — and second in a row — at the Illinois State Fair.
"Good voice, clarity, get the crowd into what you're doing," he said, when I asked him for keys to his craft. "Loud noise. Really, really loud screaming noise. Sooie, sooie, piggy piggy, porkee!"
Now I know why Jay Leno invited him to perform on "The Tonight Show" in 2009. He leaves the competition — at least what's left of it — in the pigpen dust.
