Former Illini Moe Gardner, Dana Howard and Simeon Rice are on the 2017 ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame.
The ballot was released today.
All three are repeat nominees.
Illinois hasn't had a player selected to the College Football Hall of Fame since receiver David Williams was picked in 2005.
This year's ballot includes 21 players from the Big Ten. Ballots are due June 20 from National Football Foundation members. The 2017 class will be announced on Jan. 6.
